Species transformation stories. Personally, I love them...but not all of them has what it takes, IMO. That's not to say there is a right or wrong to it (except if you get a bit of anatomy incorrect, which can be a bit embarrassing), but there are several cardinal rules to follow. Again, this is all my opinion, but I think some folks out there can use the tips:
1. THE FUN IS IN THE JOURNEY - I don't mind some exposition to the story. Oftentimes, it helps add to the setting. And the post-transformation bits can be tons of fun. But the meat is in the transformation itself. If you can't spend the time describing the process inch by inch, then
